A release from Charleston AFB, S.C., states that a survey conducted by the Everett Group during a one-week period, from March into April, shows Americans have a high opinion of the Air Force. Survey results indicate that 79 percent of those polled would recommend Air Force service to a young person. Survey takers associated the Air Force with such terms as technology, skilled, professional, and excellence. They also believe USAF values the well being of its members, possibly more so than the other services. Of the 1,200 adults participating in the survey, 89 percent said they have great confidence in the Air Force.
Upon assuming his post, new Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force David Wolfe said he will prioritize high standards and pledged to ensure Airmen of all specialties get the equipment they need to project U.S. airpower.
