The National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs, Colo., plans to inaugurate the first Missile Warning Advanced Course on July 24. The goal of the 13-week course is to create “pioneering space professionals whose knowledge encapsulates all tactical aspects of missile warning and missile defense,” says instructor George Glass. The MWAC will feature in-depth activities on missile warning and defense with a focus on space-based warning assets as well as sensor physics, enemy threat systems, warning architectures, and air, land and sea based sensors.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
