The exchange program is flourishing, at least for Arizona Air National Guard pilot Lt. Col. David Stine. He has been in the Netherlands for three years teaching Dutch airmen how to fly the F-16 in an operational environment. The learning process is not all one way. Stine says the Dutch have developed “some interesting” procedures in their F-16s that he thinks might work well in USAF.
Raytheon, a division of defense giant RTX, recently announced a multiyear deal with the Pentagon to increase annual production of the Air Force’s primary dogfighting missile by more than 50 percent from two years ago.
