The public also doesn’t trust President Bush’s ability to handle Iraq, according to the same USA Today/Gallup Poll (see above) released yesterday. Only about one in four Americans believe he has a clear plan for the war. Only 25 percent of those polled think the President has a clear plan, marking the lowest percentage of his presidency. Gallup also notes that belief in a Democratic solution has hovered around 25 percent for the past year.
The Air Force is shoring up its cyber defenses both on and off base for critical infrastructure such as water and electrical power, and industry experts are calling for more, even specialized, dedicated microgrids offsite to support USAF operations in case of a total blackout caused by cyberattacks.
