The public also doesn’t trust President Bush’s ability to handle Iraq, according to the same USA Today/Gallup Poll (see above) released yesterday. Only about one in four Americans believe he has a clear plan for the war. Only 25 percent of those polled think the President has a clear plan, marking the lowest percentage of his presidency. Gallup also notes that belief in a Democratic solution has hovered around 25 percent for the past year.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
