Air Force Reservist CMSgt. Kenneth Thompson has received a Bronze Star medal for his service over one year at a Joint Interrogation and Debriefing Center in Iraq. Thompson, who is the first sergeant with Air Force Reserve Command’s 512th Equipment Maintenance Squadron at Dover AFB, Del., served as the NCO in charge of operations, supervising a multi-service team of 90 percent Army and 10 percent Air Force members.
The new defense reconciliation bill includes $7.2 billion for Air Force and Navy aviation accounts, almost half of which will buy more F-15EXs. While electronic warfare, drones, connectivity and airlift all get attention, the F-35 was conspicuously absent from the package, with no explanation given.
