USAF installed the C-130 unit in Afghanistan because the Hercules can handle such short haul missions into rough terrain.
Lt. Gen. Paul D. Moga took command of the U.S. Air Force Academy on Aug. 7 as the academy’s 23rd superintendent. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach presided over the change of command ceremony, which saw Moga succeed Lt. Gen. Tony D. Bauernfeind.
