Where once operated the “Blue Cube” could be a BMW dealership or a pricey hotel—well, perhaps not. And, federal agencies get first shot. The city of Sunnyvale apparently has asked for some extra money and an extension until next summer to make its recommendation. Meanwhile, the VA has put in a bid for some of the land and some local area affordable housing groups have expressed interest.
