Air Force and Army active and reserve personnel practiced their skills in close air support earlier this week during Air Warrior II at Ft. Polk, La. Officials say that the joint force exercise features a realistic environment for Air Force airpower to support Army ground maneuver forces.
Anduril and General Atomics will develop their Collaborative Combat Aircraft for the Air Force, beating out Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman, the service announced on April 24. But any of the non-selected companies can compete to actually manufacture the eventual design, the Air Force said.
