Air Force Special Operations Command has created a Battlefield Airman Clinic, which it expects to “better serve the unique physical needs” of USAF’s ground warriors as they go through advanced skills training. The new clinic is primarily the work of the medical staff of the 720th Special Tactics Group at Hurlburt Field, Fla. “Our special operators and TACP [tactical air control party] students have different needs and different injuries that require different focus and perspective,” said Maj. Gen. Don Wurster, AFSOC vice commander, at the official ribbon cutting.
The U.S. Air Force Academy’s Board of Visitors wants the service academy to partially reopen its iconic chapel ahead of schedule next year when it sheds the “big white box” that has enclosed it through years of renovations.
