With some of it’s A-10 Warthogs already moved to Barksdale AFB, La., the 926th Fighter Wing from Hurricane afflicted NAS JRB New Orleans is speeding up its BRAC-mandated dispersal. The second to last A-10 due for Whiteman AFB, Mo., landed on March 16, delivered to the 442nd Fighter Wing.The last A-10 from New Orleans is due at Whiteman in June when it arrives from depot maintenance at Hill AFB, Utah.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
