Global Hawk Passes Wet Runway Test: The Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle test team at Edwards AFB, Calif., has completed testing the UAV’s braking capability on a wet runway. Officials say it was the first-ever such test with a UAV. The testing has proved that the vehicle’s anti-skid braking works and will provide data in making decisions about whether a Global Hawk can safely land.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
