The Pentagon confirmed the death of A1C Elizabeth N. Jacobson, who was killed Sept. 28 while on convoy duty in Iraq. The 21-year-old native of Riviera Beach, Fla., was killed near Camp Bucca, when an improvised explosive device exploded next to her vehicle. Jacobson was assigned to the 17th Security Forces Squadron, Goodfellow AFB, Tex.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
