Members of Air Force Reserve Command’s 315th Airlift Control Flight at JB Charleston, S.C., have a new official Swamp Fox patch, according to the unit’s parent organization, the 315th Airlift Wing. Previously, flight members wore an unofficial patch to show pride in their jobs; now, as of last month, the new patch is Air Force-sanctioned, states the wing’s May 3 release. “The new patch reflects our support of the mission around the world, which is why we superimposed the fox head over the globe; the old one only showed the continents of North and South America,” said Maj. Elizabeth Dietrich of the flight. The “Swamp Fox” also has special significance for South Carolina, according to the release. That was the name associated with Brig. Gen.
