More than 300 members of the 366th Fighter Wing, an F-15E unit at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, left Monday on a five-month deployment to Kunsan AB, South Korea, as part of a normal rotation of Air Force combat forces to the Pacific. These airmen, including aircraft maintainers and aircrews and F-15Es from the wing’s 389th Fighter Squadron, replace elements of the 13th FS, an F-16 unit assigned to Misawa AB, Japan, that had been rotationally deployed to Suwon AB, South Korea. The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
