The 
823rd Maintenance Squadron at Nellis AFB, Nev., which maintains and repairs engines and auxiliary power units on HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters, has a new unit patch. It features a green border on a white and blue interlocking disc, with a gray hawk grasping a wrench in one talon and a lightning bolt in the other, according to a Dec. 19 Nellis release. The new patch is meant to solidify the unit’s transition earlier this year from the 763rd Maintenance Squadron and its organizational realignment under Air Combat Command’s 23rd Wing at Moody AFB, Ga. MSgt. Mark Schultz, 823rd MXS superintendent of plans and programs, designed the new patch. “A patch symbolizes your identity and mission,” said Maj. Kimberly Grover, 823rd MXS commander. “We are rescue maintainers,” added Grover. (Nellis report by SSgt. Christopher Hubenthal)
