The 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess AFB, Tex., and B-1B.org, a non-profit organization promoting the contributions of the B-1B bomber to national defense, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first B-1B delivery to Dyess in conjunction with the base’s open house and airshow April 28-May 2. The anniversary festivities will include current operations briefings, simulator tours, a memorial service, static display, and banquet. According to Boeing, now prime contractor for the bomber, Dyess received its first B-1B in June 1985. (Dyess announcement) (B-1B.org Web site) (Boeing fact sheet)
