An Iowa Air National Guardsman found unconscious while swimming in Guam July 25 has been identified as SrA. Drew Bellairs, who was deployed to Guam from the 185th Air Refueling Wing in Sioux City, Iowa. Bellairs was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead? due to drowning. He deployed to Andersen Air Force Base in June and was assigned to the 506th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron. “It is always a tragedy when we lose a member from team Andersen,” said Brig. Gen. Andrew Toth, commander of the 36th Wing, in a statement. “We come together during this time of loss to support each other and our prayers are with SrA. Bellairs’ friends and family.”
