The 3rd Component Maintenance Squadron at JB Elmendorf, Alaska, has won a 2010 maintenance award, the Defense Department announced Wednesday. These awards are presented annually to recognize outstanding achievements in weapon system and military equipment maintenance. The Elmendorf unit was one of two recognized across the DOD in the small-sized depot or field unit category. The Elmendorf airmen will receive their award at a banquet in November in Tampa.
