For the eighth consecutive year, Air Force Reserve Command has met and eclipsed its annual goal, bringing in this fiscal year 8,000 new recruits. It reached this year’s mark on Aug. 28 when SSgt. Philip Fogleman, a Reserve recruiter in Birmingham, Ala., signed up Aaron Coggin, who will leave for basic training in January. A Reserve recruiter in Alaska netted recruit No. 8,001 shortly thereafter. “It’s amazing what our Reserve recruiting team has done,” said Lt. Gen. Charles Stenner, AFRC commander. “To make their goal each year, for eight consecutive years, is an outstanding accomplishment and shows the dedication Reserve recruiters demonstrate on a daily basis.” Reserve recruiters signed up an average of 24 airmen per day en route to meeting the goal.
