Air Force Reserve Command’s 934th Airlift Wing hosted a two-day dissimilar aircraft readiness training exercise for the command’s aeromedical evacuation squadrons Aug. 8-9 at the Minneapolis-St. Paul ARS in Minneapolis, Minn. The quarterly event brought together about 120 Reservists from various bases, along with two KC-135s, one C-17, and one C-130 to give hands-on training to flight nurses and aeromedical technicians on different aircraft than they have at their home bases. “I think this is the best DART I’ve ever participated in or coordinated,” said SMSgt. Ron Nowasell, chief of aeromedical evacuation training for 22nd Air Force, parent organization of the 934th AW. Each participant practiced configuring each of the platform types for aeromedical evacuation and then took training flights on them. (Minneapolis report by TSgt. Jeffrey Williams)
