At a glance, the two assets seem somewhat strangely paired, but the images highlight a long-standing mission of the A-10, and one that has grown far more prominent in the twilight of its career.

Boeing to Modernize Flight Deck for C-17

Boeing has signed an agreement with the U.S. Air Force to design, manufacture, and integrate a modernized flight deck for the C-17 Globemaster III. The company said Feb. 6 that the upgrade will keep the military transport aircraft “flying and mission-ready for decades to come.”
