Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, has been selected to host a new unit that will be responsible for strategically sourcing installation-level purchasing for Air Force facilities across the continental US. The unit’s formal name is the installation acquisition transformation enterprise sourcing group, or IAT ESG. The group will employ approximately 45 people when it first opens for business later this spring. At full strength about one year after its opening, it will employ about 200 people, according to Marie McManus, chief of the Air Force Material Command’s installation acquisition transformation division, who will also head the new office.
