Druyun “Hurried” KC-135 Depot Maintenance Contract: The DOD Inspector General has released another of its reviews of Air Force contracts “handled” by Darleen Druyun, and this one also shows that she favored Boeing. According to the IG audit, while Druyun was still a top Air Force acquisition official, her “influence hurried the outcome” of a KC-135 depot maintenance contract adjustment and restructuring, causing the service to “ignore information” from the Defense Contract Audit Agency that might have “reduced the program by $4.5 million.

While none of the major aircraft contractors were selected to develop the Collaborative Combat Aircraft, all three say they are seeking further autonomous aircraft work for the Navy, foreign partners, or in the classified arena, and maybe future versions of the CCA itself.
