Air Force weapons specialists at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, got to work up close and personal with one of the new premier precision strike munitions—the Small Diameter Bomb. Airmen of the 366th Maintenance Group recently practiced maintaining and loading the bomb system on F-15E Strike Eagles. The airmen said the SDB system is more “user friendly” than current weapons. Maintenance cold be done in less than an hour, well under the standard for current systems, said TSgt. T.J. Koskovich of the 366th MG.
