A1C Spencer Stone remains in fair condition at the University of California Davis Medical Center as police continue searching for two men they suspect stabbed Stone repeatedly in Sacramento on Oct. 8. Stone is awake, able to get out of bed, and in good spirits, the hospital reported. Sacramento police said in a written statement that Stone was out with four friends when there was a confrontation with another group of people; that confrontation escalated into a fight and the stabbing. Stone had surgery for his injuries, which medical officials called “significant,” but he is expected to make a full recovery. Police on Wednesday released two more surveillance photos of the car they believe the suspects drove away from the scene, which they described as a dark colored 2009-2012 Toyota Camry. Police said the suspects are two Asian men who were wearing white shirts and blue jeans at the time of the attack. Stone and two childhood friends in August thwarted a terror attack aboard a Paris-bound high-speed train.
