Registration is now open for the 2014 Air Force Marathon, which will be held Sept. 20 in Dayton, Ohio. The number of runners once again will be capped at 15,000. “We sell out quickly,” said Race Director Robert Aguiar. “We encourage all participants to register as early as possible…” Last year’s event sold out in May, but organizers are expecting even more interest this year, according to a Dec. 31 release. Boston Marathon Director Dave McGillivray will be the featured speaker at the 2014 Sports and Fitness Expo (held Sept. 18-19 at Wright State University’s Nutter Center in Dayton), the Gourmet Pasta Dinner (held in the Modern Flight Gallery of the National Museum of the US Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, on Sept. 19), and the Breakfast of Champions (also held Sept. 19 at the Holiday Inn Dayton Fairborn).
