The Air Force has published its Energy Horizons vision paper (full document; caution, large-sized file.) As we reported earlier this week, Energy Horizons provides a blueprint for the service’s science and technology investment in air, space, cyber, and infrastructure in order to increase energy supply, reduce demand, and promote operational readiness, resiliency, and robustness. It charts goals in the near term (one to five years out), mid term (six to 10 years), and long term (11 to 15 years). Energy Horizons follows 2010’s Technology Horizons in the S&T blueprint series.
