Lockheed Martin has delivered an airborne signals intelligence system configured specifically for the C-130J transport aircraft, announced the company Wednesday. It will undergo acceptance testing this month, according to Lockheed. Part of the palletized “Senior Scout” sensor suite, this new tactical Sigint system is designed to locate enemy communications and report them to air and ground commanders. Senior Scout is built into a trailer-like container that airmen can easily roll on and roll off Super Hercules aircraft. Lockheed said it also has enhanced the latest Senior Scout shelter to be structurally compatible with the C-130J, updating systems interfaces and technology and improving maintenance access.
