Warner Robins Hiring

The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center in Georgia has received about 2,500 applications for apprentice sheet metal mechanics and 2,218 others for apprentice aircraft mechanics toward a new hiring push to fill 400 to 500 jobs over the next six to eight months. The ALC already has taken on 750 new personnel, making this the center’s largest hiring activity in a decade, according to officials at Robins AFB, Ga. In addition to apprentice positions, the ALC has taken applications for experienced mechanics and has openings for software engineers, most of the jobs are with the center’s 402nd Maintenance Wing. Donna Frazier, the 402nd MW’s director of business operations, said current and anticipated workload is driving the effort, prompting the wing “to look at all available options.” (Robins report by Wayne Crenshaw)
