The Air Force has awarded a Bronze Star medal to Lt. Col. Terence Mitchell, the chief of medical staff with the 1st Special Operations Medical Group at Hurlburt Field, Fla., for his actions while deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He provided health care to military and civilian personnel and showed “an extraordinary ability to operate in the most uncertain and fluid combat environments,” according to the medal citation. Col.
