Pacific Air Forces has dispatched six F-16s from the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan AB, South Korea, to participate in Commando Sling 2008, operating out of Paya Lebar AB, Singapore. The exercise runs through Nov. 16.
The Space Force is playing midwife to a new ecosystem of commercial satellite constellations providing alternatives to the service’s own Global Positioning Service from much closer to the Earth, making their signals more accurate and harder to jam.
