The collaboration between the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Defense Acquisition University, and Macon State College will save the Air Force about $13,500 in training cost for each person who completes new DAU-curriculum-based courses at Macon’s campus in Warner Robins, Ga., reports Amanda Creel. Maj. Gen. Tom Owen, the ALC commander, said the new courses are “laying the foundation for the future” to aid establishment of one of USAF’s new regional contracting centers at Robins AFB, Ga. Macon State plans in January to start the first classes, which are available to majors in management, marketing, and general business with a contracting concentration.
