Those are the words of one 25-year federal employee, Vicki Faggiano, who said an offer by Pennsylvania state agencies to help Air Force Reserve Command employees at Willow Grove, Pa., find new employment, according to a report by The Morning Call. AFRC announced in January that it would deactivate the 913th Airlift Wing early—by Oct. 1—as part of the 2008 defense budget, leaving less than the standard BRAC shutdown time for personnel to find other employment. The Call reports that Pennsylvania plans to set up a job service office inside the 913th headquarters building. The 913th recruited its last Reservist in January.
