In a new Gallup Poll, a short majority of Americans believe news reports about the situation in Iraq are inaccurate. Recognizing that the responses could indicate they believe media are offering views that are too rosey for reality or too dire, Gallup went a step further to find out which side is predominant. The answer: 61 percent believe news media paint the situation as worse than it actually is, compared to 36 percent who say the picture is too rosey.
