The Air National Guard’s 186th Air Refueling Wing at Key Field, Miss., will get a new 10,000-square-foot medical training center, funded under the just completed 2006 supplemental for the war on terrorism and hurricane recovery, the Meridian Star reports. The new facility will replace the one damaged during Hurricane Katrina last year.
The KC-Z4, a blended wing body tanker concept being developed by startup JetZero, could fuel larger groups of aircraft at longer range to hold more targets at risk, company officials say.
