Awesome Words From the Chief of Staff: Gen. Michael Moseley, Air Force Chief of Staff, personally congratulated 19 airmen of the 791st Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and the 86th AES on a visit this week to Ramstein AB, Germany. What had they done? In Moseley’s view, they helped make a “solid” Air Force-Army relationship “more solid.” The medics provided care for 12 battlefield-wounded patients, six of them critical, during a flight from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, to Andrews AFB, Md. One critical patient is the son of Army Lt. Gen. Robert Van Antwerp, who accompanied his son on the flight. Antwerp wrote to Moseley, commending all the airmen by name. Speaking with the medics, Moseley said, “You are the most professional, competent people I’ve ever seen. … You are the backstop of taking care of people, and you are absolutely awesome.”
