USAF’s aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds, has settled on its 2006 schedule. The team plans to perform 66 shows in 29 states. Some sites will have more than one show, each of which comprises some 40 aerial maneuvers spanning about one hour. The 2006 season starts in March and closes in November. The Space Force is playing midwife to a new ecosystem of commercial satellite constellations providing alternatives to the service’s own Global Positioning Service from much closer to the Earth, making their signals more accurate and harder to jam.
