A recent BBC World Service poll found that most people around the world do not believe Iran’s claims that its nuclear program is strictly for civil purposes. Sixty percent of those polled in 25 different countries believe Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons. An average of 72 percent of those questioned say they would be very (43 percent) or somewhat (29 percent) concerned if Iran developed nuclear weapons. However, most people favor diplomacy over military action to solve the Iranian nuclear issue. Only 11 percent favor military action. Read the full poll results here.
