The medical control center at Langley AFB, Va. is processing less paperwork these days thanks to a new Medical Screening Program that helps personnel and wing unit managers easily verify medical deployment status electronically. Eliminating the chaotic system of spreadsheets and email forms, the 1st Medical Group at the base has made color-coded, unit-specific reports instantly available to commanders for information and feedback, reducing several steps in a process that helps give airmen the green light for deployment.
