The Defense Information Systems Agency has named the 9th Support division Communications Support Flight at Beale AFB, Calif., as the Outstanding Global Information Grid Facility for 2006, reports A1C George Cloutier. The unit runs the 9th SD Systems Control Facility, a major node on the GIG, and has implemented cost saving initiatives and achieved a 99.99 percent reliability rate.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
