GE Secures Singapore Engine Deal: Singapore has signed up for GE F110 engines to power the 12 F-15SG fighters it purchased from F-15-maker Boeing. There’s an option for another eight aircraft, as well. The SG model is an advanced version of the USAF F-15E Strike Eagle. The GE engine also powers 40 F-15K models delivered recently to South Korea.
Raytheon, a division of defense giant RTX, recently announced a multiyear deal with the Pentagon to increase annual production of the Air Force’s primary dogfighting missile by more than 50 percent from two years ago.
