There’s been no word from the new ruling junta in Thailand whether or not it wishes to continue cooperative exercises with the Air Force, PACAF commander Gen. Paul Hester said in an interview with Air Force Magazine. USAF conducts two major exercises with Thailand annually: Cobra Gold and Cope Tiger. He said he’d probably have some insight as to the future of the relationship later this fall, when exercise planning typically begins.
The Air Force is launching an effort to develop a new stand-off missile with a range of 1,000 nautical miles, or 1,150 miles, that would eventually be used for both air-to-air and air-to-surface missions.
