The Air Force has released the latest promotions results for colonel, showing roughly the same percentage of line officers selected this year as last year. For line officer promotion in the zone to colonel, USAF selected 459 officers from a total of 1,010 under consideration—a rate of 45.4 percent. Last year the selection rate was 45.3 percent.
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
