American Eagle Communities is one of several companies engaged in developing privatized housing at US military bases around the country; the others for the Air Force reportedly are on track. At Hanscom, American Eagle has completed only 17 houses in a plan that would produce 784 homes by November 2009. Construction has stopped at Little Rock for “a lack of funds.” The work at Hanscom, Moody, and Patrick has been delayed, attributed primarily to poor cost estimating on the part of American Eagle.
