The 32nd running of Ulchi Focus Lens is underway at Osan AB, South Korea. The UFL exercise tests command post elements for US and South Korea forces. Lt. Gen. Garry Trexler, 7th Air Force commander, says UFL helps teach younger personnel as it engages senior leaders in decision-making roles, and “equally important,” it tests the “most effective weapon system in the USAF inventory: our Air Operations Center.”
The Space Development Agency says it’s on track to issue its next batch of missile warning and tracking satellite contracts this month after those awards were delayed by the Pentagon’s decision to divert funds from the agency to pay troops during this fall’s prolonged government shutdown.
