Gen. Roger Brady received his fourth star and formally took command of US Air Forces in Europe on Jan. 9 during a Pentagon ceremony with Chief of Staff Gen. Michael Moseley presiding. “Over the next few years, the USAFE mission promises to be an exciting one that is constantly evolving—whether it’s supporting warfighters, providing global vigilance, or helping form a new major command in Africa,” said Brady. He replaces Gen. Tom Hobbins, who retired last month after 38 years of service. Brady entered the Air Force in 1969 and has accumulated more than 3,000 flight hours in the T-1, T-37, T-38, KC-135, C-21, and C-5. Prior to his new post, he was in charge of personnel and manpower on the Air Staff from June 2004.
The nominee to become the next head of U.S. Strategic Command, Vice Adm. Richard Correll, endorsed the production of more than 100 B-21 bombers, echoing his predecessor Gen. Anthony Cotton's view.
