The Air Force has alerted its major commands about the results of last month’s reduction in force board, which targeted some 300 young officers. It does not plan to make a public release. However, Stars and Stripes reports that there are 27 officers in US Air Forces in Europe that have received word that they must leave the service by January 2008. The Air Force has said it expects to release its targets for Fiscal 2008 sometime next month, as the service proceeds with its planned reduction of about 40,000 personnel through 2009.
