Air Force officials gathered last week in the Pentagon to open a new art exhibit showcasing the work of French artist Henri Farre, who flew with the Le Premier Groupe d’Escadrille de Bombardment in World War I. The exhibit, which appears on the fifth floor at corridors 9 and 10, also contains some new work recently added to the Air Force Art Program. (Air Force release by MSgt. Russell Petcoff)
Airmen basic rarely go on to become four-star generals, but one who did retired last week after a 42 year career that saw him rise from a lowly slick-sleeve to the head of one of the Air Force’s most important major commands.
