According to an Abilene Reporter-News report, Goodfellow Air Force Base, near San Angelo, Tex., also is under consideration to train the Air Force’s cyber warriors. Norton Schwartz, Chief of Staff, urging the service to assign the cyber training mission to Sheppard Air Force Base, outside Wichita Falls, principally because Sheppard is losing its medical training mission as part of BRAC 2005 actions.
