Air Force Space Command officials are determined to keep an eye firmly focused on evolving technology and promoting innovation as they look to rein in efficiencies and cut costs, said Gen. Robert Kehler, AFSPC boss, Friday at AFA’s Global Warfare Symposium in Los Angeles. “We are adjusting some of our priorities inside the command to send a little bit more money in the direction of innovation. We are not loosing our edge in these areas,” he said. He added, “We need to be cautious that the programs of record are not ultimately squeezing out our ability to innovate.”
